This Week's Arrangements:

Here are the arrangements for next week at Ysgol Gymraeg Cwmbrân:

Monday:

Fire Brigade to see year 1 children.

Year 4 trip to the library:
Year 4 pupils will be visiting Cwmbrân library today. They will be walking to the library this afternoon.
They will need a rain coat if raining and sun tan lotion, sun hat etc if it's hot.
The pupils will be back before the end of the day and they'll be having food in school as usual.

Year 6 trip to Gwynllyw:
The pupils will be spending the day in Gwynllyw for a day of lessons.
The pupils will need to wear their school uniform and they will also need a packed lunch please.

Choir practice until 4:30.

No Drama Club after school.

Tuesday:

Foundation Phase Sports Day: *Postponed until Thursday.

Weather permitting, the Foundation Phase sports day will take place today.
09:30 - 2:30 in front of the school.
Parents / family members are welcome to join us for the day.
Morning nursery children will be taking part in the morning only.
Afternoon nursery children will be taking part in the afternoon only.
The pupils can come to school dressed in their sports clothes / team colours.
Please ensure that they have enough water, sun tan lotion and a sun hat please.
Programmes will be sold at the school gate for 50p each.
The PTA will be selling light refreshments on the day.
(We will send a SCHOOP to notify parents if the sports day is on or not. We'll try to make a decision on Monday. If the sports day isn't held today, we will try to hold it on Thursday.)

The Digital Leaders will be having a HWB / HWB+ workshop with Glyn Rogers between 10 and 12 o'clock.

No choir practice after school.

The choir will be singing at Age Connect, Griffithstown in the afternoon.
(Letter to follow - the pupils will be eating in school as usual.)
They will be back before the end of the day.

Cooking club for Miss Hughes’ class until 4:30. (£1)

Practice for the 'Llew Frenin' until 4:30. (Main actors - those who need to stay have received a letter.)

Wednesday:

Welsh lessons for parents.
(9-11 in the school library.)

Key Stage 2 Sports Day: *Postponed until Friday.*

Weather permitting, the Key Stage 2 sports day will take place today.
09:30 - 2:30 in front of the school.
Parents / family members are welcome to join us for the day.

Thursday:

E.U. Referendum:
Year 6 pupils will be giving a presentation / assembly to the rest of the school about the Referendum that will be taking place today. They will be highlighting the main arguments of both campaigns and looking at what the E.U. has done for Wales.
The school pupils will then get a chance to vote in favour of staying in the E.U. or leaving the E.U.

Cycling Proficiency training for year 6 pupils tonight.
(3:30-4:30)

Swimming lesson today for Miss Griffiths’ class.

Fitness club for years 4, 5 and 6 until 4:30.

Dydd Gwener /Friday:

** Key Stage 2 Sports day if it doesn't take place on Wednesday. **

The WRU will be holding a rugby training session for year 5 and 6 girls at 09:30.
The girls will need to bring their sport kits to school please.
(This has now been cancelled as we hope to hold our Sports Day.)

Quick cricket competition. (This has now been cancelled as we're hoping to hold our Sports Day.)
30 pupils from years 4, 5 and 6 will be taking place in a quick cricket competition in Panteg Cricket Club.
(Those taking part have received a letter.)

Reading club during lunch time.

Violin lesson for Mrs Dalgleish’s class.

Year 6 hockey lesson.

The PTA will be selling ice cream on the yard at the end of the day. (50p)
