Here are the arrangements for next week at Ysgol Gymraeg Cwmbrân:
** Please note: There will be no sewing club or choir on Tuesday as there is a parents' evening at the school. **
Language pattern of the week:
Our language pattern of the week is 'treulio amser' / 'gwario arian'
Band of the week:
We will be listening to Maharishi in school this week. Some of the band's songs include 'Ty ar y mynydd' and 'Toni'.
Monday:
Miss Rhian James and Miss Rogers from Ysgol Gyfun Gwynllyw will be talking to year 6 pupils today.
Pontypool Urdd Club for pupils in years 3-6.
This club is run in St. James Lower Hall, Hanbury Road, Pontypool between 4:30 and 6 every Monday night for just £1 a session.
Spectrum Sessions for year 2 and 6 pupils.
(Letters were sent home last week.)
Parents' evening.
Tuesday:
Pupil of the week assembly.
(09:10 in the school hall.)
Parents' evening.
No sewing club for year 3 pupils as there is a parents' evening.
No choir practice as there is a parents' evening.
Wednesday:
Puppet Show for the Foundation Phase pupils.
** Typing Competition for children in years 1 to 6. **
Hockey tournament at Cwmbrân Stadium for the team. (1:30 - 3:15)
Please ensure that the pupils have shin pads and a gum shield. Diolch.
Welsh lessons for parents / guardians in the school library. 09:00-11:30.
Urdd club for year 5 and 6 pupils until 4:30. (£1)
No Creative Writing Club for year 5 and 6 pupils as the Urdd club is for them this week.
Thursday:
Swimming lesson for Miss Broad's class.
Football club for year 4, 5 and 6 pupils from 3:30 - 4:30.
Fitness club for year 4, 5 and 6 pupils from 3:30 - 4:30.
Friday:
Last day of the half term: We will be breaking up for half term today. The pupils will return to school on Monday, February 27th.
Clwb Hwb during lunch time for KS2 pupils.
Hockey lesson for year 6 pupils.
** Week after half term: **
Wednesday, March 1st: The pupils can come to school dressed in their Welsh costumes / rugby and football shirts etc. A school Eisteddfod will be held during the day.
Thursday, March 2nd: We will be celebrating 'World Book Day' today. The pupils can come to school dressed as their favourite character from a book, if they wish.
