Well-being afternoons:

Well-being afternoons:

2nd May 2018

The theme for our first well-being afternoon was children's rights.

Every fortnight, we'll be holding a well-being afternoon in school. Each time, we'll be concentrating on different aspects of health and well-being.

As you may already be aware, the curriculum in Wales is currently going through a process
of change. Professor Graham Donaldson had reviewed the current curriculum and has offered
recommendations for a new curriculum.

The school is part of the group that is reforming the new curriculum, concentrating on the health
and well-being area. This is an excellent opportunity for us to see any changes and developments to
the curriculum before the majority of schools and we can see how much emphasis is going to be put
on health and well-being in the new curriculum and we’re very excited about these changes.

Each class took part in different activities, based on children's rights this afternoon. (See the school's Twitter account for some photos of the different activities.)
