The Week's Arrangements:

** Sport Relief Week: The pupils will be taking part in a daily mile run and they'll be doing a sponsored Danceathon on Friday. **

We're also collecting Easter eggs for the food bank in the Salvation Army.

Band of the week:
Our band of the week for this week is Bromas.
We'll be listening to 'Lle ma' dy galon?' and 'Zoom'.

Language pattern of the week:
Our language pattern for this week is the nasal mutation after 'yng' e.g. yng Nghwmbrân.

Tuesday:

Year 4 pupils will be visiting Cwmcarn today. ** Cancelled - this will be rearranged again soon. **
Art Club for year 3 pupils during lunch time.
* Year 6 pupils will be going to an NHS Exhibition this afternoon.*
Open afternoon for Foundation Phase parents / guardians - please see letter in 'School Letters' section.
No choir practice after school - only unison and two part parties practice until 4:30.
Sewing club for year 3 pupils after school until 4:30.
PTA meeting after school. (3:30 in the school library.)

Wednesday:

#WheelieWednesday: We're encouraging the pupils to come to school on their bikes/scooters today.
Welsh lessons in school today for parents / guardians with 'Learn Welsh Gwent'. (9:15 - 11:15)
Science Club for year 4 pupils during lunch time.
Year 3 pupils will be visiting Cwmcarn today. ** Cancelled - this will be rearranged again soon. **
Western Power will be holding a workshop with year 4 and 5 pupils today.
Chess club for year 5 and 6 pupils during lunch time.
Ukulele practice for year 5 pupils during lunchtime.
* Year 6 pupils will be spending the day at Ysgol Gyfun Gwynllyw. They'll need to wear their school uniform and bring trainers with them. They can have school dinners (£2.30) or bring a packed lunch with them. *
Urdd Club after school for year 3 and 4 pupils until 4:30.

Thursday:

* St. David's Day / School Eisteddfod: The pupils can come to school dressed in their Welsh costumes, rugby shirts etc if they wish. *
Ffa La La creative workshops for children in the nursery, reception and year 1.
Swimming lesson for Miss Williams' year 4 pupils.
Woodwind choir for year 4 pupils during lunch time.
Dance Eisteddfod for those competing with the disco dancing. (Ysgol Cwm Rhymni.) A letter will be sent home tonight.
Football club after school until 4:30 for year 4, 5 and 6 pupils.
Netball club after school until 4:30 for year 4, 5 and 6 pupils.
Ymgom practice after school until 4:30. (Those who need to stay have received a letter.)

Friday:

** Sponsored Danceathon: The pupils can come to school dressed in their sports clothes today. We'll also be wearing red to show support for Wales in the Commonwealth Games. **
Violin lessons for Mrs Dalgleish's class. (9:10 - 10:10)
Coding Club for KS2 pupils. (12:30-1)

Saturday:

The second round of the Eitsteddfod at Ysgol Gyfun Cwm Rhymni.
(We'll send a letter home when we receive information from the Urdd.)
