Netball and football games:

23rd January 2011

The netball and football teams travelled to Ysgol Bryn Onnen on Friday.

The pupils of years 5 and 6 enjoyed an afternoon at Ysgol Bryn Onnen on Friday.

The football team had an excellent game with Bryn Onnen winning, 4 goals to 3.

The netball game was also a success, with the children winning 14-7.

Here is a report on the game by Jake in Year 6:

On Friday, the 21st of January, the school’s football team travelled up the valley to play against Bryn Onnen. It was a very cold game! In the 1st half, Bryn Onnen scored three goals and unfortunately, we didn’t score at all.

In the second half, we managed to come back with three goals so it was three all towards the end of the game. The goals were scored by Jake, Billy and Ethan. In the last five minutes, Bryn Onnen came back with a lucky goal against the goalie to make the final score 4 – 3 to Bryn Onnen.

Overall, it was a hard game but everyone enjoyed it as it was a great game of football.
Jack was rewarded with a certificate for fair play and Ethan was rewarded a certificate for an excellent effort so well done to them.
By Jake.

In the netball game, Amy was rewarded with a certificate for her efforts and Tomas received the certificate for fair play.

Well done to all the pupils that took part.
We look forward to another game soon.
