Welcome back to you all after the long summer break. You will receive a letter next week with important dates and events for the term. We will be adding to these dates during the term and they will also appear on our website which is updated on a weekly basis.
The PTA Annual General Meeting will be held at the school on Tuesday the 14th of September at 6pm. Please make every effort to attend.
We welcome Mr Geraint Passmore and Miss Katie Thomas to our family here at Ysgol Gymraeg Cwmbrân. Geraint will begin his teaching career with us and will be teaching a class of Year 4/3 pupils. Katie will be teaching a Reception class.
The Sports Club will be held for Year 4, 5 and 6 pupils every Tuesday from the 14th of September (until 4.30pm).
The ‘Child of the Week’ Assembly will be held every Tuesday morning at 9.10am. One child will be chosen every week from each class to receive a certificate in the special assembly. Parents are notified on a Friday.
Gwent College have organsied Welsh lessons for parents at the school. The classes will be held at the school every Thursday from the 16th of September (4pm-6pm). Please contact Ffion Green for more details (01495 333711).
The school will be closed on the following days during this term for staff training
