Snow News:

19th January 2010

This is our latest update at 2pm on Tuesday

Many thanks to everyone who helped us to clear the snow last week. Mr Moore (Caretaker), the gardeners from Morris’ of Usk, and workmen from the Authority were busy on the Wednesday clearing a path through the snow from the front gate to the school building. This meant that we could safely open the school on the Thursday.

I would also like to thank the teaching and support staff for making every effort to arrive at the school. Most of the teachers came by train from Cardiff!

The weather forecast is showing heavy snow for Cwmbrân for tomorrow. We will do our best to keep the school open but if the snow falls during the night it will be very difficult to clear a path and ensure that the school site is safe for the morning. We will do our best to ensure that you receive any news as early as possible in order for you to make the necessary arrangements. We will also update the website with any news by 7.30am.

Let’s hope that Derek Brockway is wrong about tomorrow!
